Digital Scavenger Hunt: Part 1 - Justin Mageau

Shown above are cherries, a fruit. Fruits are the ovaries of a flower that protect its seeds, while also serving as a food source to many creatures in an ecosystem.
Vitamins are essential, organic nutrients to organisms and generally act as coenzymes (ex. methylcobalamin [Vitamin B12]). Some humans like to take vitamins as a dietary supplement, especially if their diet deprives them of certain nutrients.
Plants acquire energy through the process of photosynthesis, the act of converting light energy and carbon dioxide into chemical energy. Above is a jade plant living under a lamp, being "fed" light energy.
This is a collection of many leaves. The leaf is the main site of photosynthesis in a plant. Leaves consist of a blade and stalk to which the stem of the plant is connected.

Above, you can see vibrant yellow petals radiating from a sunflower. Petals are a type of leaf that grow from flowers and serve as "advertisement" to pollinators such as bees.
This is Spaz, my cat, and a carnivore. Carnivorous creatures are often secondary consumers or tertiary consumers within a food web. The term "carnivore" refers to animals that eat only flesh.

Shown above are swallowtail larvae. They have been feeding off of dill plants and will soon construct their cocoons and enter the pupae stage of their metamorphic lives, from which they will hatch into butterflies.

Hi Justin
Good start. Your photo of Spaz really shows off his beautiful eye color! Is he a mouse hunter? I liked the reference to the cherries as a reproductive part of the plant - sort of amazing. For the next round add more detail to your posts. For example you could have explained about how the flower developed into the ripened fruit - just an idea.
